MUSIK INTERNATIONAL

TOUR SUPPORT

Musik International has been involved in live performance since the company first opened its doors in the late 70's. From booking bands into local clubs to setting up national tours, we've hit the road along with Sammy Hagar, Ozzy Osbourne, KISS, Paul McCartney, Blondie, and hundreds of other entertainers, authors, lecturers and musicians working in dozens of genres and styles. We've coordinated record release/tour parties, set-up in-studio live radio broadcasts, sat-in on thousands of hours of print media interviews and photo sessions, and even helped hype big events like the US Festival, Live Aid, Starz Benefit for Runaway Teens, the Sri Chinmoy Peace Run, the Benson & Hedges Command Performance Series/Jazz and more. Heck, we even ferried planefuls of celebrities from Hollyweird to New York for infamous Studio 54 weekends!

Then we grew up...

So, while we do not act as a booking agency anymore (this means we cannot put your band into any clubs, sorry), Musik International can and does provide in-depth tour support at retail, radio and media for Billboard chart-topping performers like Jim Brickman (solo and with Donny Osmond), Paul Winter, Secret Garden, Natacha Atlas, Riley Lee, Bud Shank, Lost at Last, Deepak Chopra/Dave Stewart, Sawt el Atlas, Nikkos, Seba, The Robin Nolan Trio, etc., as well as for dozens of rising stars in the fields of jazz (traditional and smooth), rock, world/worldbeat, electronica, NAC/AAA/adult alternative, folk, new age and more.

Working in tandem with artists' managers, record label executives, distributor sales reps and tour managers, Musik International arranges special in-store play demo mailings to key retailers along the tour route, coordinates poster displays and hand bill giveaways, ticket contests and VIP guest list passes for store managers, retail music buyers and key section managers. We can also pitch key retail chains such as Borders, Tower, Virgin, Barnes & Noble and others regarding special live in-store performances, autograph signings and drop-bys.

We submit tour info to radio station calendars, arrange in-studio performances and/or broadcast interviews, submit advance custom station ids keyed to the date, and interface with djs and acts so that airplay increases prior to the date. On-air ticket giveaways and station VIP guest list coordination is always a pleasure.

The Musik International media team will create and distribute print and electronic tour press releases, solicit advance features/CD reviews, coordinate calendar listings (with or without print art accompaniement) and invite journalists to attend the show for concert review coverage. As always, tearsheets are provided to you for as long as they are received at our office; you won't miss reading a word about your show! Keep in mind that most newspapers now require a 2-3 month lead time before a tour date in order to schedule optimum coverage.
